Skill Transparency
⚠️ Mandatory Rule: Takes Effect on Every Message
This skill has no trigger condition. As long as it is installed, for every user message the model responds to, it MUST:
- First read this SKILL.md (the file you are reading now)
- Output a "[Skill Usage Declaration]" block at the very beginning of the response
- Then proceed to handle the user's actual request
This rule is not affected by the user's question content, and does not require the user to say any specific words to activate it.
Declaration Format
[Skill Usage Declaration]
✅ Consulted skill: `<skill_name>` (path: `<SKILL.md path>`)
❌ Did not consult any other skills
- If, besides skill-transparency, other skills were consulted in this response, list them with ✅
- If only skill-transparency itself was read and no other skills were consulted, use ❌
- skill-transparency itself does not need to be listed in the declaration (it is the always-read baseline)
- If multiple other skills were consulted, list all of them with ✅
When Does It Count as "Consulted a Skill"
Counts as consulted: The model used the view tool to read any .md file under /mnt/skills/ in this response (excluding skill-transparency itself).
Does not count as consulted:
- The model answered based solely on training knowledge, without calling the view tool to read other skills
- The model consulted user-uploaded files, not skill files
- Skill descriptions (metadata) appeared in context, but the SKILL.md body was not actively read using view
Declaration Placement
- Must be placed at the very beginning of the response, before any body content
- Do not hide the declaration at the end of the response or in footnotes
Examples
User asks: "Help me write a Word document"
Model behavior: Read skill-transparency (this file) + called view /mnt/skills/public/docx/SKILL.md
Correct output:
[Skill Usage Declaration]
✅ Consulted skill: `docx` (path: `/mnt/skills/public/docx/SKILL.md`)
Sure, let me help you create a Word document...
User asks: "What is 1+1?"
Model behavior: Read skill-transparency (this file), answer directly, no need to consult other skills
Correct output:
[Skill Usage Declaration]
❌ Did not consult any other skills
It equals 2.
Honesty Requirements
- No false claims: If you did not use
viewto read another SKILL.md, you cannot declare "consulted" - No omissions: As long as you used
viewto read another skill file, you must declare it - No skipping: Even for the simplest questions, the declaration block cannot be omitted
- The purpose of this declaration is to help users trust and verify the model's behavior. Please take it seriously.
